Side Events at LLDC3

The Third 51Ó°Ôº Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) has now been rescheduled to take place in Awaza, Turkmenistan, from 5¨C8 August 2025, with a day of pre-conference events on 4 August 2025.

The process for selecting side events has been restarted. Those organizations that had been earlier been awarded a side event slot are being contacted and invited to renew their interest.

If, following this process, there are additional side event slots available, the application process for side events will be re-opened. Information and further updates on this will be posted on this page.

 

 

FAQs

  • The side events will take place in the main conference building of the Awaza conference center.
  • Side events will take place alongside the formal programme of the LLDC3 Conference (official plenaries and roundtables) and will be an integral part of the Conference.
  • The full programme of approved side events will be posted on the official LLDC3 website.Side events will be held outside the official plenary and roundtable programme of the LLDC3 Conference.
  • Each entity may host only one side event, except in cases where both a standard side event and a private sector special event were submitted. These special events will take place during the Private Sector Forum (5¨C6 August).
  • All side events are in-person, 90 minutes in duration.
  • No interpretation or live-streaming will be available.
  • Room sizes are standardized; no rental fees apply.
  • All side events will take place on within the Conference premises. Therefore all participants must be accredited and registered to access the venue. This includes all side event panel members and speakers.
  • No funding is available from OHRLLS for the organization of side events. All associated costs, including registration and travel of speakers, must be covered by the organizing entity.
  • A/V support is available for PowerPoint and video projection only. Printing facilities will be available, but organizers are encouraged to bring all printed materials in advance.
  • Provision of drinking water and any other catering is at the responsibility and at the expense of the side event organizer.
  • Organizers are expected to:
    • Ensure balanced gender representation on panels.
    • Provide their own nameplates (tent card format).
    • Publicize their event independently (you are invited to use #LLDC3 and #landlocked on X/Twitter).
    • Bring their own laptops for presentations and promptly remove any banners or equipment after the event.
